| Location: | Lincoln | Age (or year of birth): | 1966 (39) |
| Favourite bend: | Devils Elbow - Lydden | Year of first race: | 1982 |
| No. of years racing: | 1982 - Present | Worst moment: | Ricks Fatal Crash at Aberdae Park 1986 |
| Favourite circuit: | Anglesey : It's everything a race circuit should be !! A fast 3 Sisters without Mickey Mouse Chicanes and you can see the sea. I Normally stay for a week when I go. | First bantam: | A 1957 D3 road bike shared with my brother Rick. Later sold to James Cooks dad, so that'll be his first Bantam. Later still bought back by Rick. It now does the occasional jaunt arounfd the garden with my son's in the saddle |
| Best moment: | Lots: Beating Bantam Chamion Peter Tibbite to the title in 1986 (Peter referred to me as the "young pretender" in an article he wrote, I'll have to ask him why) and denyiong him of his hat-trick- Sorry Peter. Winning both the Bantam and 125 open chamionship in 1987 on the Ex-Ned "002". Winning the BRC 250 Single title on Toms Tomic in 1994. 1996 coming back on the scene with the VMCC after the collapse of the BRC (1995) and seccessfully landing a home with the Vintage crowd. 2 champion of champions championship vistories in 2001 & 2002, when it had been the reserve of OHC Nortons for the previous ten years !! | ||
| Current bike general details: | Ex-Peter Styles "001" Bantam which I have raced since 1985 has had many uphrades. The top end is a Tom Miller 1970's cylinder (175) which had six transfer ports but was modified to far. Also a reed valve added before a Fahron liner was installed. All this in about 1994. It has been developed on and off over many seasons and its now at the end of its development ?!?. Its replacment is due soon. I'm a Luddiote so I will be sticking to 18" wheels and not following current trends. | ||

| Other Comments/Notes: | Best races against : Peter Tibbits - 1986 50 Miler, Martin Nash 2001,2002 we had great fun Martin beat me on occasions and at Lydden once I flicked the 'V's at him but luckily he did not pass me to gesture back. Ian Scutt Caranby 2 2003 Ian had a faster bike, better brakes and kept throwing cones at me. I had to duck to miss one of them. C of C race at three Sisters 2004 where I posted the fastest lap of the race ! | ||
